Cat Crags is a collection boulders on the hillside above the Skipton to Harrogate road near Blubberhouses. There are many short low-grade problems, non of which are particularly memorable, and a few harder things. There are also a number of short routes which look good, but which are too high for bouldering. few worthwhile problems. The rock is clean and the landings are generally good. In summer and autumn the crag is infested with bracken.

Expand The Left-Hand End

There are a few short walls with easy problems at the extreme left of the crag. Further right there are three buttresses; the first is a detached pinnacle; the second forms the main edge of the crag and has a cave at its base. The third is a semi-detached pinnacle with an big, impressive overhanging front face.

The Plantation Boulders

This is the group of smaller boulders further right (looking in), at the edge of the trees. The boulders are generally disappointing, although The Rack is good.

The smooth wall in the gully behind the right-most boulder. An excellent problem, with a long-ish stretch for the top.
